Microsoft Word documents (which use the DOC file extension) can be converted to TIFF files (image files with the TIFF or TIF extension) by importing them first into Microsoft Publisher. Once imported into Publisher, the file can be saved in several formats, including TIFF. Conversion allows you to send an image file of your Word document to a client or create a Word-based file customers can view whether or not they have Microsoft Word installed. The TIFF file format can provide a suitable workaround and accommodate clients and customers regardless of the operating system and software owned.
